The Church has regular weekly events plus recurring and special events during the course of the year.
Weekly Events
Sunday Worship: 10.30 a.m.
Sunday School: The Sunday school is small but growing. Presently there are 4 or 5 children who come along. They are introduced to the stories in the Bible in a way that is appropriate to them. They seem to enjoy themselves and are in no hurry to head home once the service is over.
Tuesday Bible Study: This runs weekly and begins at 7.15 pm. The setting is informal and takes the form of a discussion group. The discussion is often lively as we explore and share issues regarding our faith. Recently we went through the book of Jonah, it is not uncommon for us to spend two weeks discussing one question. Please come and join us and add to.
Open Church: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. weekdays (with vestry hour on Tuesdays).
Wednesday is 'coffee morning' held in the Church Lounge and is run by the ladies of the Church. It is a popular venue for members of the church and their friends to meet socially.
Other Events
Holy Communion is held six times a year (common cup, port). Worship is conducted in English.
Fund raising events are held during the year of which the major ones are the Christmas Bazaar for Church funds and Christian Aid appeal in May. There is also an annual Flag Day.
Other smaller events take place regularly throughout the year, many based around social events to bring the members together.
In past years we have watched dolphins together, picked oranges in Spain, walked the Military Tunnels, and had pleasure in doing things as a group.
A craft class is held occasionally, usually painting, flower arranging or christmas decorations. A parish magazine is published quarterly and contains parish news and the adventures and views of the congregation.
There is a yearly St. Andrews Day service, and a Carol Service both of which are broadcast on GBC radio. The governor and other local dignitaries attend these services.
